A Note on Tahiti and the Maldives
The South Pacific and the Indian Ocean are the original home of the overwater bungalow, and they're breathtaking. Tips for Booking an Overwater Bungalow
- Book early. Most resorts have only a few dozen overwater units, and they sell out first, especially for winter honeymoons.
- Ask about the view. Sunset-facing bungalows are the ones couples remember. We always request them for our clients.
- Compare the full price. A cheaper room rate at a resort that charges for meals and drinks can end up costing more than an all-inclusive.
- Consider a split stay. Two or three nights over the water and the rest of the week on the beach is a great way to get the experience for less.
