If you look at the about page for most travel agencies you’ll probably find something like “ I started my travel agency because I love to travel” or something similar. And while it’s true that I love a week at the beach as much as anyone, that’s not how Bliss Honeymoons was started. 

Like a lot of you, I had every retail job there is. I was a bartender, a barista, a server, a coffee shop manager, and more. If you’ve worked retail, you understand the harsh reality of working nights, weekends, holidays, laboring for weeks with no days off for a boss that doesn’t appreciate your efforts. So I started Bliss Honeymoons to give  people a place to work that allows them autonomy, and a way to earn a living that fits with their life, family, schedule, values, and allows them opportunities that you don’t typically find in retail.  

You’ll find that our team loves to travel, and truly understands and respects that taking a trip represents a lot of work on your part. You’ve probably got to figure out how to take time off work, find a pet sitter, and save up to fund this adventure. So we want to ensure that your hard work pays off, and that the trip you plan with us is everything you’ve hoped for.

Since we started in 2005 we’ve met a lot of amazing couples, traveled to some unbelievable places, and had the honor of being recognized for our service by both consumers and our peers. We’ve had the honor of being featured in publications like The Washington PostBrides.com, Elle Decor, and many more.  We’ve survived hurricanes, political unrest, and pandemics. So in addition to understanding the little details that will make your trip meaningful to you, we’ve also got a lot of experience in handling the kinds of unexpected events that may impact your trip.

Experience
We’ve encountered so many challenges over the years. Each of these challenges has made us stronger as agents, and a team. If you’re stranded in Hawaii because of an airline issue, wreck your ATV in Costa Rica, or run your passport through the wash the night before you’re supposed to leave, we’ll be the calm, experienced professional that knows how to tackle it.
This industry is constantly changing, and it’s a lot to keep up with! Hotels change hands, immigration rules constantly change, and more. Our agents attend webinars, and embark on our own travels to learn about the destinations we offer, all to ensure we’re giving our clients the best experience possible.
Unlike other agencies where the agents are competing against each other, our agents work together as a cohesive team. You’ll frequently find our agents helping one another with a client’s package, traveling together, taking classes together, and more. And our admin support team is truly the glue that keeps us all together!
If you’ve ever been a bartender, a server, worked a fast food job, or a retail store, you know how grueling and unappreciative these jobs can be. It’s my mission to make Bliss Honeymoons a place that people are excited to work at, and have opportunities to challenge themselves, and make a decent living, while having great work-life balance. And I believe that is reflected in the service you receive.

Everyone on our team is committed to offering you the best service possible. We understand, and appreciate, how challenging it can be to save up, get time off work, find someone to watch your pets, and more, so you can go on this trip. It doesn’t matter to us if you’re taking an extensive trip across Europe, or a long weekend in Mexico-vacations matter. We want to help you make the most of it.
