Private Island Honeymoons
You don’t have to be a millionaire or suffer the fate of the cast of Lost to escape to a private island. In fact, private island honeymoons and destination weddings can be surprisingly affordable, and closer to home that you may have imagined.
You can find some of the most frequently asked questions we get from couples considering a private island here.
Will we be the only people on the island?
Most of the private island resorts we work with have anywhere from 10 to 50 rooms. You’ll find the resort’s staff to be very friendly and helpful. And you’ll have other people around to play a game of beach volleyball with if you’re in the mood.
Will we get bored?
You’ll find a surprising number of fun things to do! Most of the private island resorts we work with have watersports, like jet skis and paddle boards, snorkeling, fishing, scuba diving, and more. Many also have bikes that you can use to ride around the island, a gym, yoga classes, cooking classes, and other amenities.
What are the dining options like on a private island?
You’ll find amazing, fresh, creative menu options. And if you’re vegan, gluten intolerant, a foodie, or something else, we’ll make sure the resort is aware before you travel.
Is there a spa?
Most of the private island resorts we work with do have a spa.
Are private islands all-inclusive?
Do private islands have their own airport? How do we get there?
Most private islands do not have their own airport. You’ll fly into the closest international airport, and either take a boat or charter plane from there to the private island.
Do we need to worry about pirates?
Can we really afford a private island honeymoon?
Most of the private island resorts we work with in the Caribbean and Mexico run anywhere from $8000.00 to $25,000 for a week with airfare from the USA. If you’re considering a private island in Tahiti, Fiji, or the Maldives, rates will start at about $25,000.
